I guess it doesn't really matter what grade this was. High school students should know how to behave themselves when a sub is in the room. I would have been competely embarrassed myself. I tell my students on the first day of school that if they are ever awful for a sub, they will serve extension. I tell them straight out that sub-par behavior for someone who is taking my place for the day is NOT acceptable. It is such a shame that so often in today's society students don't accept the responsibility for their awful behaviors. To them, it is always someone else's fault! When did accountability go out the window?! Shame on those "little boys"!
