I personally feel that it IS socially acceptable for adults to run around and act out their dreams.

I know 99% of this world measures success by your job/income/possessions; and by that definition I'm in the free cheese line. I've come to accept the fact that I probably won't have the summer home on the lake I always thought I would - and that's OK. Because I am now part of the 1% of this world who measures success by the smile on your face. As long as you love and are happy with the people around you, who cares what other people think?

Gotta go - it's raining out and there's this really, really big puddle I want to go jump in!

My Dearest Shannon:

I would be playing short for the Yanks - if only I could have hit the curve.

Do you realize how proud I am of you and how much I respect the fact that you are a teacher?

You have grown up to be such an amazing young woman. Your son Nate is like your twin except he can actually pound a baseball. And, when Aiden asked me, Papa, are you my Buddy - following it up with, Are you happy?” Life doesn’t get any better.

I love you, Sweetstuff.

But therein lies the curse of adulthood: knowing what's real, what's expected, what's normal...and then having to live up to those expectations.

I'd be an adventurous archaeologist....who just happens to fly fighter jets on the side.

I would be playing Tag (Freeze Tag, Not It). First, it was a feeling of camaraderie with so many kids in the neighborhood playing together, and secondly I loved how free it felt to run around and laugh so hard your stomach would ache. The biggest worry in life back then was getting home in time for dinner!

If I wasn't currently married to a smart, generous and attractive woman with two sons and a third child on the way, I would be a professional golfer or golf pro at a country club in Arizona.
